perhaps i am missing something, but why in hell would anyone in their right mind bet a dime on any horse in this race not named invasor?
these other horses don't stand much of a chance in my opinion. will invasor be at his best? who cares? his worst race in this country is better than any race run by any of the other horses in this field.
betting against invasor in this race would be crazy.

If this was 100% true, the other horses should just scratch. There are going to be times when Invasor loses... it may happen this weekend.

invasor is an absolute steal at 3/5 against the mules in this race.
betting invasor in this race is worth it for the same reason that picking up free money off the ground is worth it.

so let's say invasor is 2/5 or even 1/5 and some horse like AP Arrow is 15/1. ap arrow is still not a good bet. this horse has never won a graded stakes race. are the odds really only 15/1 that he will win the race. NO!!!!! it would take an act of god for him to win.
i'm all for finding a good horse at a price....but there are times (like this) when the entire field is so overmatched by one horse that it doesn't even make sense to look for value. there isn't any.
