Everything points to the Colts. The AFC was a far, far superior conference this year as behind the Bears, the NFC had zilch. I mean the Saints got pummeled by the AFC north this year other than beating the horrendous Browns by 5 points. However, the AL was a far superior baseball league last year and we saw what happened in the World Series. And the common but wrong thoughts in college football were for Ohio State to beat Florida. So common wisdom fails often. But even with all that, I'll take the team with the better quarterback here. And that we know. The Colts defense is playing much better and even though they gave up 34 to the Pats, 14 of those were an int return and a setup by a long kickoff return.

As for the AFC being better all year -- this is true. Though at the same time, both Baltimore and San Diego are gone, an they were supposed to be the powerhouses...especially San Diego. Tons of people had practically crowned them champions in week 12, and they managed to last 60 minutes. The AFC much better? Yes. But now conferences don't matter any more. The Colts much better than the Bears? Not so sure about any big disparity there. |
Love the Bears at +7 but really, really love the UNDER 48 1/2. The Bears run game will keep Peyton off the field long enough to make the Under a lock.

Scavs,
I hit the two games on Sunday Inital feel here is a ten point Colts win. Bears hang around , but, in the end Grossman gives it up. |

never thought i'd say it, but go colts. esp after reading about some dumbass bears fan who wrote a sign saying the bears would 'finish what katrina started'. how tactful and classy. |

"The runners up are whoever put up and whoever at Soldier Field in Chicago did not take down a sign during the Bears-New Orleans Saints playoff game yesterday. The banner reads, "Bears finishing what Katrina started."

Lame. I guess every team has their idiots who can't separate sports from real life. |

Anyone that thinks either team is a lock is a freaking nut. I can make cases for both teams winning, but I think the colts pull it out. I'm not betting on the game because i can very easily see this being a 3 point game. But I'm a colts fan so i guess im biased.

My pick is the Colts to win & not cover.
