Man o man there are too many to list. Do you go with talent or do you go with production? But if I was going to start a team and could pick any back I would pick these in order.

1) Barry Sanders (Scary how good he was in spite of the Lions)
2) Walter Payton (Sweetness....nuff said)
3) Gale Sayers (tons of talent)
4) Jim Brown (changed the game)
5) Eric Dickerson (smoothest runner ever)
6) John Riggins (anyone that can tell Sandy Baby to lighten up needs to run with the ball)

lighten up sandy baby, you're too tight. ah, those were the days!! we always muted the tv and listened to radio--frank, sonny and sam, rather than suffer thru pat somerall and tom brookshire. besides, that way you could hear the diesel horn when john took off.
