Which brings us to the next question......" favorite Canadian Triple Crown winners "?

Snicker.

Should have known you'd have to be a smarta$$ in some kind of way... ;)

He was the horse Randy Romero rode in the BC Classic after he broke his shoulder when Go For Wand broke down.

He was a very good horse.

saucon17 12-11-2006 10:14 AM

Was he A Kinghaven Farm horse?

blackthroatedwind 12-11-2006 10:16 AM

I think so but I'm not sure.

saucon17 12-11-2006 10:21 AM

Thanks BTW, Dance Smartly was also a Canadian Triple Crown winner
and also nice horse here in the States. Who was lastest Canadian Triple
Crown winner was it Peteski.

KirisClown 12-11-2006 10:21 AM

Didnt Wando do it?

blackthroatedwind 12-11-2006 10:23 AM

I don't know.

Afleet was the best Canadian horse I ever saw. He was a victim of Gary Stahlbaum otherwise he would have had quite a resume. Stahlbaum cost him both the Met Mile and the BC Sprint.

saucon17 12-11-2006 10:24 AM

Thanks Kiri

Your'e right on about Wando. Patrick Husbands rode him

saucon17 12-11-2006 10:26 AM

BTW, Afleet sired to of my favorite fillies Twist Afleet and
Flat Fleet Feet and a nice sprinter Tim Ritchey had Cat Be Nimble.
Is he still at stud in Japan?

saucon17 12-11-2006 10:33 AM

Speaking of Thunder Rumble and Hollywood Herb is Thunder Rumble
still with us or is Thunder Puddles of thinking of.

blackthroatedwind 12-11-2006 10:35 AM

Wherever he is I am sure he is glad to be away from Gary Stahlbaum.

I can't decide which ride I liked better...the Met, where he smacked Afleet in the head with the whip, causing him to prop, and lose a photo to Gulch, or the BC Sprint, where somehow the brilliant Stahlbaum had him LAST at the top of the stretch, only to finish third beaten a couple lengths.

Phil Teator would have won those races.

Apparently he's at Keane Stud in NY...

Linny 12-11-2006 11:01 AM

Thunder Puddles is at Highcliff in Delanson. Rumble stood in VA for a while then was returned to NY.
