Wade is a fine young man,but aside from the sentimental vote for Barbaro, Tiger or Federer were the most dominant sports figures this year! And then again....Bob Costas would have felt foolish interviewing a horse!:D

I would have liked Barbaro to have won it, too. Has a horse ever won it other than Secretariat?

Not that he stands a snowball's chance in hell of winning but it would be an asbsolute joke if they gave it to a horse who is most famous for breaking his leg. Why not just give it to Donovan McNabb for blowing out his knee? No horse should even be considered for this award until they win the Triple Crown.

Believe me, I think anyone would rather lose at the track than spend time in Franklin Ohio.

Sorry but that isn't Sportsman of the year. If they have an award for Inspirational Athlete of the Year then he should absolutely be a candidate. Sportsman of the Year though, no way. Heck, he's not even Horse of the Year or 3yo of the Year.
