The Swale field was not very good and GJ got a perfect setup to win the Pat Day. I don’t see anything wrong with running him on turf.

Two stakes winners from his maiden & three from his allowance race.

Yeah, I guess since those races weren't reviewed by the Graded Stakes Committee it's still questionable whether General Jim can even handle the turf.

It's a weird spot it's a weird decision with a Grade 3 and Grade 2 winner. I can root foR him and hope I am am wrong as an owner I would be WTF
Yeah, its weird that a Grade 2/Grade 3 winner would start on turf in the middle of his 3yo year.

On the other hand, if you were a Triple Crown winner (Secretariat)...not so weird.
If you were a Derby-Preakness winner (California Chrome)...not so weird.
If you were a Kentucky Derby winner (Swaps)...not so weird.

How about Lure, Round Table, Prized, Bien Bien, Da Hoss, Tight Spot, Olympio, Showing Up, Nobiz Like Shobiz, Hawkster, Quack, Anet, and Sidney's Candy?

It's so weird, man...

A sneaky bad race for General Jim.
