No way, you can make bets in phone accounts as early as 11 Pm. I played a pik with her, and went out to brunch. I know for a FACT that I did this.

I know the race was in May on a Sunday. It was dark and rainy up here.
I know the first race that day was won by a Clement NY bred grass horse, Oililly. What was the date of the race?

Who else do you blame? Groom is making 400 a week, walker is making 200, owner is paying 2500 per month. If the trainer isnt responsible for getting his horse over to the paddock, he needs to make sure he has help capable of handling that duty. Its not Rocket Science. The grooms should know their horses names, know what they look like, and know when they run. If for some reason there is a communication breakdown, its the trainers fault, and only the trainers fault.

One of the biggest problems facing racing is the continued nonchalance with which people flaunt the rules and the lack of real penalties applied when these rules are broken. I agree. There is cheating everywhere on and off the track. Horse racing needs much tighter policing.
