She is only lacking in the minds of crazy people. She is probably the best filly we have seen in decades.

Most of these European horses who are strictly bred for the grass do not run well on the dirt at all. There are the rare exceptions to the rule so there is a small chance that Ouija Board may have been one of the rare exceptions but the odds are against it. Most horses with that type of breeding won't run a lick on the dirt.

Too bad she's not owned by the same people that owned Island Fashion. They would have tried it. I would have liked to see her try the dirt but the problem I would have had with the Distaff is the short distance. I think that would have been more of an issue for her than the dirt. But hey, if u want to see more Europeans come over and try the "dirt", watch next year at Keeneland and at the Southern California tracks when they all have JunkTrack. Turf runners are going to start dominating over here. It would be so hilarious to see Cacique stay in training and win the Hollywood Gold Cup next year.
