They seem to be treating Gunrunner like the second coming now.

And about Baff, when you get the horses he does, it's because you get the results he does.

He ran well...
interesting ride on Bird Song Guess that just shows how big the gap is with Arrogate and the rest of the dirt horses. |
Gun Runner

Gotta respect Gun Runner. Travels all over and seems to improve every time. He cant beat Arrogate but that's OK. Lots of big races to be won.

Here's a question for you.Do you guys like the way Arrogate was developed, meaning as Baffert did without rushing him into graded stakes within 30 seconds of a maiden win, versus running them in Gr stakes by their second breath, which seems to have become the norm now in New York based trainers?

Make no mistake, if Arrogate didn't have physical issues as a 2yo he would have likely been another TC burnout. By the way, who are all these NY-based rush jobs? A comparable horse to Arrogate last year was Connect, who actually got in a minor stakes start prior to the Travers. |

Though I hardly see how young horses are handled differently based on geographical location. |

If anything, its easier to develop a late bloomer in NY, because they actually can still fill allowance races restricted to 3yos there. |
