Definitely some much-needed good news. Hope to see her back racing in 2016.

Lady Eli recorded her first work since recovering from laminitis the morning of Feb. 29 when the daughter of Divine Park went three furlongs in :38 4/5 at Palm Meadows Training Center in South Florida. The work was the slowest of 10 recorded at the distance.

Lady Eli, trained by Chad Brown, returned to the track for the first time in mid-December.

Props, again, to lady elis team. Had they not acted so quickly and so well, she wouldnt be about to resume her career on the track.

That's great, I hope she doesn't have any setbacks.

jnunan4759 07-28-2016 10:40 PM

Absolutely a great thing. Laminitis is a terrible and very often fatal. Even quick, expert attention and treatment can be of little consequence when it takes hold. Amazing the horse can not only survive, but return to racing. Call it what you will, Luck, Karma, Divine Intervention or Good Intentions, but she has it.

Will be watching and rooting.
