The duel was pretty obvious on paper, JV rode a very smart race and took his horse back knowing from the 6 his best chance was to sit behind it. They really walked home there, does not say much about the field in general that no one could really make a move from behind other than the 6. Too bad that something really went wrong with the 3 that she had to be pulled up and vanned off.

On paper there looks to be a lot of speed to set up a closer. I am going to take a chance with the 1 and 3 who both have a lot of room for improvement here. Taking a shot in the double with the potential of a duel between Dayatthespa and Discreet Marq (though they may still be fast enough to hold off any of the closers there).

I like Unbelievable Dream in there too. Ridiculous rides behind slow paces in her last two. IMO Dayatthespa is a likely winner and if I'm gonna try to beat her it'll be with a closer.

I agree with you Joey. The last time Dayatthespa and Discreet Marq banged heads Dayatthespa was taken back and she finished third. I have to think they have no choice but to send today and that a duel is very likely. I like Unbelievable Dream for the same reason, the last two rides were ridiculous, last time Rice should have taken the pocket and instead took way back in a race where there was no speed and she had no chance to finish, if she gets pace today and there is a duel in front of her, she could upset at a very nice price.

Tons of speed on paper and the 4 is left alone on the lead, at least Castellano recognized it, but had to sacrifice his mount making a middle move.

It is painful watching Shaun Bridgmohan trying to compete in this colony and his ride on the 1 was an abomination. Unlike Davis, he was far from patient and made a middle move right into a wall of horses forcing him to check several times, get shuffled back to last, he then goes outside into a wall of horses when the rail is completely open and gets blocked again! Incredible incompetence. :wf

I am just amazed at how guys are afraid to ride their horses the way they need to be ridden. It didn't matter that Dayatthespa's connections were afraid to challenge Discreet Marq's speed the last time they met and realized they had to send their horse today, Discreet Marq's connections decide that they are not going to challenge Dayatthespa for the lead and are content with conceding the win and racing for second place. The race was over before the first turn. Incredible. :wf
