Loved seeing him back and loved your race call. It was right up there with my favorite one of yours... Lava Man winning the 2007 Gold Cup.

Paynter just did the equivalent of a famous singer showing everybody how it's done, then dropping the mic and walking away.

Thanks for filling me in on that.

Jill Baffert seems to be high drama.

Were you a member of the Thoroughbred Times forum?

Jill delivered solid gold drama there. :tro:

Oh dear, what shenanigans did she pull on that forum? Is she a piece of work, or is she just hypersensitive to perceived injustices and means well as far as standing up for Bob's concerned? I just remember high drama about Richard's Kid and not really getting what that was about--horses get sold. If you want to buy said horse, offer money or don't be surprised when they're yanked away from you. Nice to know that in the middle of a miraculous comeback, their minds were focused on the task at hand and not on anything petty.

How about a hand for TVG too, whose hosts lined up on Twitter to ready the masses for big bad Bob about to slam Ray. VERY classy.

It was quite a 15 minutes if you were tuned in, from an announcer on the verge of tears acting like he and the horse are old buddies to a world-class Hall of Fame trainer going out of his way to make a remark to a journalist.

Paulick is no saint, but the Bafferts need to grow up and realize that not all members of the media hangs on their every word.

Guess it was too much to let the horse tell a great story....

The TVG guys basically had him winning the Breeders Cup Mile, Turf and Classic on the same day. :zz:

This is an amazing story. That race was awesome to watch (and a great call, too!)
