I was addressing something else: outside of the MSNBC incident, having nothing to do with it, Genuine Risk pointed out something else that has been noted this campaign by multiple observers: Romney has a known and observed problem with lying. He says things that are not just political, or exaggeration, or making one side look good. He lies about readily apparent facts. Deliberately, repeatedly.

BTW, "Obama's economy" has had 28 straight months of job growth, GDP growth, unemployment drop, Wall Street record gains. Yeah - Bush spent us from surplus into massive deficit.

It's impossible to have 28 straight months of "job growth" and have more people out of work! The unemployment figure, despite the cooking of the books, is WORSE, not better. All the parrotting of that line will not change that fact. There have been millions of jobs lost, NET.

It gets even worse when you calculate the number of people actually not working, as opposed to recently unemployed. When the person hits their 25th month without a job, they magically fall off the records and statistics.

It's not all Bush's fault. This guy added 5 trillion in new debt. That is more than all the previous presidents, (at least from Clinton back to Washington - not sure about George W.) combined.

The lying is not going to get this guy a second term. He is the worst president we have ever had, including GW Bush, Carter, Nixon, Lyndon Johnson, and Herbert Hoover.

the private sector has added jobs 28 straight months. but with the amount of jobs added lagging behind those that have been lost previous, and with new potential employees joining the job search, overall unemployment is still horrible.

it's a nice selling point tho, isn't it? somehow, obama can claim his policies are doing great-look at the numbers...but when numbers aren't worth bragging on, well that's not his fault. good news-obama takes credit...bad news, it's back to being bushes fault. it's a can't lose situation.

Here is a chart that shows both job growth, and unemployment numbers. Note that when Obama took office, the loss was 800,000 jobs for one month under Bush. Yes, Obama has to make up all the jobs Bush lost - then build on that. It's slow, but it's there.

Yes. Everyone is aware of that. Shame the GOP kicked so many off the roles, by stopping benefits, isn't it? Wonder what happened to those folks? Homeless now?

Nope.

No. The economic facts will. He's doing the best he can in the face of 100% obstruction - deliberately declared political obstruction, btw - by the opposition party.

You're certainly entitled to that opinion. I hardly agree, because I don't see any factual evidence for it in the least. I like ending wars, saving the auto industry, reversing a massive recession careening into depression (yes, majority of economists said the stimulus definitely worked), decimating Al Quaeda, defending the rights of women, unions, Hispanics, etc :tro:

Yes. The anti-government beacon of Ayn Rand takes his Social Security, his government paycheck, and his taxpayer/government health care :tro:

But Ayn Rand took her checks, too, in the end.
