60/1. Any other ideas? I don't want Tiger as the chalk and Rory would be the only short price I would consider taking. Thanks Kev.

Kaymer has played 4 times and missed every cut...........

Yeah he's an auto toss for me. So is Adam Scott.

Webb Simpson is my longshot pick. His problem is Sundays.

If I were betting I'd take Choi at 60-1, Oosthuizen at 66-1 and Woodland at 100-1

Mike Weir must be playing like crap as he is 500-1

Weir's game has been awful. If he wasn't a past champion he would not have come close to qualifying. I'm pretty sure he doesn't even have full tour status at this point. I agree Choi is a good play and I'll take a shot on Henrik Stenson and Bill Haas as my longshots. Not sure of their prices.

Dustin Johnson WD's (injured back), Jason Day has an injured foot but will play. Weir has had ongoing elbow issues and missed every cut in 6 tournaments so far this year.
I think handicapping this year's event needs two considerations: Horses for courses (experience and past performance record) as Augusta has to be learned and respected. Only Fuzzy won on his first try, and that was 33 years ago. #2 is putting.....the tour keeps statistics on "strokes gained putting" and the current leader is Van Pelt (finished 8th last year), followed by Phil in the 2 spot. Day & Scott finished T-2 last year.
And of course by Sunday around 5:30 this will all be meaningless........

I put 10 on Van Pelt at 68-1 and 10 for him to finish top 5 at 11.1-1

Kaymer? He has a horrible record at Augusta and his game is not suited for the course nor do I think he has the game to adjust to be competitive there.

At 60-1, he's worth a small play, IMO.

I have stuck a couple of Euros on the following:

Ogilvy 94-1
Garrigus 259-1
Van Pelt 74-1
Woodland 139-1
Dyson 499-1
Snedeker 99-1
Ishikawa 329-1
Laird 169-1
Haas 94-1
Garcia 69-1

If half them make the cut, I'd be happy - I'm looking forward to the official GPK verdict on these :)

Garrigus 259-1 - Really? Must have been drunk when you made this bet.
Van Pelt 74-1 - Lukewarm on this one.
Woodland 139-1 - Length a positive, but working on swing changes with Harmon and too early for them to hold up even if he did get into contention.
Dyson 499-1 - He needs to be the same odds as Bigs to win.
Snedeker 99-1 - Sneaky good bet.
Ishikawa 329-1 - Made this bet at the same time you did Garrigus?
Laird 169-1 - Another sneaky good bet.
Haas 94-1 - Amazing his odds are this high.
Garcia 69-1 - Sergio has really grown on me the past few years. I would love to see him get a win here, but I just don't think his putting stroke would hold up on these greens with Sunday pressure. His best chance to win would be starting 5 or 6 shots back and just fire an unreal number early and hope the leaders do nothing. If he is anywhere near the lead on Sunday, no chance.

If half them make the cut, I'd be happy - I'm looking forward to the official GPK verdict on these :)

:D

Never been a big fan, but after watching his interview with Feherty on the Golf Channel I have a better appreciation for him. Would be great if he won. Just have a feeling Mr. Woods is primed this week.

Tiger is not a good person. Old news.

I'm sure there are two sides to the story and I am also sure we are not going to hear the other side.

Not having contact with a half sibling is not unheard of.

MinnSkinny 04-05-2012 06:12 AM

Anyone considering Jason Duffner????
