I'm probably going to regret this, but I agree with the premise the original post was a bit much. No one wants to see a horse hurt and it's unfortunate when a horse, any horse dies, especially the way Proud Cardenal did.

I guess I thought it was a bit excessive to call him a hero, while you could turn on the TV Sunday and see family members of real heroes mourning the people they lost. People that ran into burning buildings to save others and lost their lives for it. Or footage of people jumping out of a building 100 stories high because they would rather go out that way than burn to death. That's what I think of when I think of hero.

We all care about horses. It's part of the reason we all love the game. And I don't think MMSC was doing anything wrong in expressing her sentiment. But I also don't see anything wrong with thinking it was a bit much when there were bigger things going on that day.

you do what you want Miss Storm Cat! there was nothing, absolutely zero, wrong with you remembering and honoring that horse in a post.

I know I'm not going to regret this, but I will type it all the same.

It's a Horsey Board and Gooey posted a horsey related topic and went on to describe her feelings about the horsey's death, from what I gather.I further gather other non ferrous members ( or doorknobs..if you will) took violently ill over the sacrilege and proceeded to assault her with their holier than thou ,self righteous , fine upstanding citizen attitude.

Someone stop me if I'm off the facts here. I am simply adding 2+2 since Stevie has removed my rights as a full time member here at NT.

Anyways....I am defending Gooey, but all should know it's not because I like her.You all do know I once went on a snot face binge and called her OurMissStormSewer ...and worse.I did apologize to her and we had....no!,we did not have.........whatevah.So now this is a public apology as well...and it should be done in public.

The apology.

Not the whatevah.

Where was I?

Oh.

Anyways....everyone has their opinion on events and so forth---stupid as some are.It is their right.Doesn't matter how stupid.

So I see nothing wrong with what she did....at all.

One more thing, and I'll keep it very general.......but I have found,it's not necessarily what is typed;it's who typed it.

Warm personal regards,

- Alan -

Your facts aren't correct. Stick to Cleveland sports.

clyde 09-13-2011 08:26 PM

Now, just who are you??

OH!!...forget that...I know who you are.

Is their a way someone could brighten up this picture for me?

clyde 09-13-2011 08:40 PM

I don't want to assume...what do you mean?

clyde 09-13-2011 08:45 PM

I don't think he's going to tell me.

clyde 09-13-2011 08:49 PM

Assuming CardUs ( or Me) is referring to the Gooey post being on 9-11.

I'll bet that's it.

Now, I'm really going out on a limb here---but I'll bet he was one of the sharks who got violently ill over her post.

Am I geting warmer?

Anyone may answer.

clyde 09-13-2011 09:09 PM

Uh...I think we're all getting older if ya think about it.

If I'm less witty , if I was ever witty......then I am,but what does that have to do with what you meant by "perspective"?
