I'm happy I had $2.00 to win and place on him.

Mike Repole is proof positive that America sucks.
|
I'm not sure whether it's a validation of his improvement or a statement on this crop of 3YO's that Stay Thirsty earned the highest BSF for a 3YO routing so far this year on Saturday. Since I've been a Repole fan from the get-go, I'm going to hope it's the former rather than the latter.

(I was gonna start this reply with whoa don't be a drama queen but figured you'd get mad).:D You're acting like you know exactly who I was talking about. Stay Thirsty has put in a few really good runs now but he is always overshadowed by something... it's like whatever he does it's not quite good enough. There are probably more posts about him (sucking) in the Florida Derby (he was what, 7th?) and in THE Derby (12th) than his 2nd in the Belmont (and certainly in the Hopeful). (For the record I did refrain from doing a nah nah na nah nah thread after Belmont. I'm a moron, I know). He's not a world beater or anything but i was really so happy that he won here and remember him being called, well.... names... so why not? Other 3 years olds are ****ing annointed all the time... he's just a pretty nice horse. What's the harm? We don't always see eye to eye but hey i stil remember you talking about Mustard and hitting that huge score years ago with him and Dance the Waves. I may not always agree with you but I do respect you and if I were gonna call you in particular a hater i would do it directly and not in a vague way (cause you're a man and I think you could handle it). (Unlike a few others here...) :p |
I called Stay Thirsty a pig and I also made an ass of myself when Steve Haskin said he liked him on At the Races on Friday. Oh well, I'd do the same thing next time. I was wrong, it happens.

Steve Crist called him "a solid citizen" on the NYRA Talkng Horses show on Sunday. :D |

Mr. Pinwheel, Sir, I always defend you because of your touching 360 which I will never forget (or that's the way I think of it anyway)... I'm not in anyones crowd and I usually like the older, slower horses so I'm kinda hoping I'm taking this a little personally cause that's my nature and not cause you're slamming me a teensy bit. If you are though, it's cool. I still love you. |

Don't waste a lot of energy. That was his last post. I've had enough of this endlessly insufferable putz... Those elevating themselves via collective invective towards everyone else here aren't welcome... If the opinions of DTers are so beneath him or others, they won't miss being a part of the community the vast majority seems to relish. |

I enjoy seeing a horse outrun his reputation, show a totally unexpected turn of foot, or return to the winner's circle when most thought that he/she was past his/her prime. Even when I don't get to cash a ticket on them. If one is a fan of the equine athlete -- how could one not get a charge out of it? |
