Ohio State wiped the field with Notre Dame last year, and will do it again this year if given the opportunity.

Too bad the Irish probably won't make the big game.

The Bid 09-11-2006 07:25 AM

Bucks wont come close to losing this year, infact they will beat Notre Dame by 200. I felt bad watching Texas get man handled on national TV, although it had to happen. The refs tried as hard as they could to keep the game interesting. Of course in the end Texas lack of depth, lack of a quarterback, lack of a secondary, lack of a coach really caught up to them.

As far as football betting goes, this game comes along once in a year. A game that you never have to worry about covering the spread on. How often does the best team in the land get points against a team that really shouldnt even be in the top 10. O H I O

Well, you get both Michigan and Penn State at home. Iowa and MSU on the road. Ohio State will lose one of those two road game. Bet on it, if you can. The Mich game is always a tossup, no matter the records, rankings or game site. You have a nice team, but expect one or two Big 10 losses.

The Bid 09-11-2006 07:52 AM

I will bet you 1000 they win each of those games. No spread involved, they just win each game you mentioned.

No thanks, don't bet thousand(s) on anything other than the Pro Bowl Under.

But, I'll be banging Iowa hard at +3.5 or more. If your team gets to the Michigan game undefeated, they'll have my respect.

Defense is much better than I thought they would be and the offense is only going to get better, which is scary.
Good luck rooting against them this year.
If the Irish get by Mich St at Mich St in a few weeks, you can count on seeing them in the National championship game.

Stick to the horses. You know nothing about football. And the favorites will do just fine tomorrow in the NFL. I expect they will come out on top slightly.
The Cowboys (a team I hate) are easy money.

Coach Pants 09-16-2006 05:39 PM

Most overrated team of all time? Arguably so.

ArlJim78 09-16-2006 05:52 PM

oops! a funny thing happened on the way to the National Championship.

When Michigan or MSU play ND, you can just throw out records, who is favored, rankings, home field, etc.

Nostradamus 09-16-2006 06:13 PM

Notre Dame looked awful week one and beat a garbage Penn State. If they weren't Notre Dame, they would not have had a top 5 ranking. They are not that good. The best teams are clearly Ohio State, Auburn, USC and I like West Virginia.

ArlJim78 09-16-2006 06:22 PM

What a thrashing. The whole ND season shredded on a single fall afternoon. This is what happens win young kids get too over-confident.

Mike_79 09-16-2006 08:16 PM

As a Notre Dame hater I must say with all sincerity that my heart bleeds purple piss for all ND fans on this Saturday evening. Very enjoyable game for me to watch.

LSU and Louisville ?

IrishofNDMan 09-17-2006 09:25 AM

ND played like crap and shot themselves in the foot with turnovers time after time. Notre Dame didn't show up to play, and it isn't an excuse because Championship teams need to show up to play for big games. They will run the table and have a showdown with USC the final game.

GO IRISH!!!

I think people are in denial if they think this team lost because of turnovers,or being a little flat. That secondary was badly burned by those receivers. The offensive line was no match for the Michigan defense either. This is not one bad game here. This is an overrated team.

Notre Dame took a butt whipping. Weiss even stated they got pushed around the whole 1st half and really the whole game. ND is NOT a bad team. They just play a bunch of teams that have talent and are gunning for them every week. If ND took an easier path to bowl games, they could find a way to the National Championship. But with their schedule... its to hard to get kids to play well EVERY week. And with the schedule they have, you have to play well, the teams they face are too good.
