I thought Gal In A Ruckus was a John Ward horse, which didn't make sense.

But I'm pretty certain I'm right about the place horses. And I remember the winner having a long, stupid name.

That fact was negated by Ed Nahem owning the horse (and playing wannabe trainer--ultimately leading Frankel to dump the horse from his barn).

The great Glenn Wismer trained this Oaks winner ... this was back before every single horse in his entire barn was sired by $5,000 claimer Cozar.

His breeding coup - standing his own stallion that was given to him - ruined his training career.

Here's one that actually won the Wood Memorial with a 116 Beyer - but his trainer passed on the Derby for fear that the crowd would scare him. He didn't lose again until he tried older horses and Skip Away crushed him.
