The only nominated film I "seen" were Winter's Bone. I liked it for what it was
nothing great but it was a nice little film. Getting nominated was more than it deserved but some of the past winner's were nothing to get excited about
- (recently) none come to mind but that's my point

I've only seen one of the pictures that were nominated (Winter's Bone - which was ponderous at best and laughable at the worst) but I've seen 3 of the 5 documentaries that were nominated... And based on what I've seen - while Inside Job was poignant - Exit through the Gift Shop should have won easily if they were really judging quality of the film, content, production, et al.

Unfortunately the category suffers from this incessant need to honor whatever is the hot topic de jour. Even three years after the fact.

The guy who I would not mind being tabbed as host next year, made a nice little appearance last night and that is Kevin Spacey. I think he would be wonderful.

Spacey and Kevin Pollack co-host.

Interesting read on deserving best picture winners. Worst picture to win all time, and who should had won. (King's Speech not included)
