I said they owned the first quarter.

I think the Pats had 11 first downs in the first quarter versus 0 for the Jets. I would say that is owning the first quarter.

Congratulations, you get the first quarter trophy award plaque. Seriously, who the hell cares? It was pretty obvious yesterday who the better team is at this point.

The Jets are better than the Patriots, period.

Lets see what happens in Foxboro. The Bengals got TKO'd there before they even knew what hit them.

If they lose, I'll just blame some statistical trend that only I was smart enough to notice and has totally been the problem all along.

The O line played fine. But I can't see Faulk and BenJarvus Green Ellis having many 100 yard games.

The main thing I took out of the game is how good the Jets defense is. They put a lot less pressure on the QB than they usually do and forced Brady to beat them. He couldn't. Even Cromartie seemed to wake up when Revis got hurt.

I don't like Welker but you have to cut him some slack. He came back faster from the severe knee injury than anyone in history other than Rod Woodson. He will take a while to be 100%. That being said, he shies away from contact and doesn't really like playing against the real physical teams. The Jets know that and tried to get pretty physical with him early.

Can't argue with any of this.

You'll have to find one.

The Patriots have collapsed on the road against everyone they've played.

It's getting to the point where road games are like watching a faint hearted sprinter come busting out of the gate early - and stopping to a walk in the stretch.

Vrabel has been an awesome leader in Kansas City of that defense this year - he forced a huge fumble that helped win them the Browns game. Richard Seymour is a truly outstanding player that the defense has missed and he's helped the Raiders D out a lot. Guys like Brusci and Rodney Harrison aren't a dime a dozen.

I think the Pats still have outstanding coaching - but in these road games - it seems like they're just so much better prepared on both sides of the ball early on .... but as the game progresses - it becomes a horror show.

.

I didn't know Seymour can stop the run? Interesting. Played for the Raiders last year, yet the Raiders couldn't stop a snail. Hmm! Now this year they are better stopping the run, and some guy name Seymour was in street clothes.

As for Vrabel. He may had a made a hit in the first 2 minutes of the game to give the Chiefs a 3-0 lead, but.....
....On a third-and-goal play Sunday, the Chiefs seemed to have the Browns stopped, but the Browns got a first down when Vrabel was called for illegal contact while Seneca Wallace was scrambling to find a receiver. The Browns scored two plays later. I'm pretty sure the D has been ramped up by Dorsey's, Hali's, and Derrick Johnson's play, while Vrabel has been mostly non-existent.
