I'm not sure which remaining horse is the answer to Kiri's question ..

He was a Centennial Farm horse.. he had won the Bouganvilia and Hialeah Turf Cup before running in the Manhattan..

He ran in the 1994 Belmont Stakes and the 95 BC Turf..

I wish I had been here for the trivia last night..

Name the horses that were favored in those three Grade I races Diplomatic Jet won in 1996..

One was a Scotty Schulhofer trainee that had once run in the Belmont Stakes, the other was an Arlington Million winner..

Was Signal Tap the other?

I think he had one second in six turf starts, all the other starts being pretty easy wins.

Still holds the TR at Aqueduct for 1 1/8th on turf. I believe that was set in the Lashkari stakes the day after the BC at the big A. Think he got beat at the Meadowlands going 3 turns. Rutgers maybe?

More hints:

* Probably the only 2-year-old in history to ever run a triple digit Beyer in defeat in a turf race. The horse who beat him that day would eventually be favored in the BC Mile

* Pretty much everyone here knows who this horse is.

Later in life this horse went on to be a multiple Grade I winner on the grass..

If you had left the GPH off I wouldn't have had any idea. I think I bet him WP that day.

Off the board for a 13K tag on the dirt at Philly Park ... A Grade 1 stakes winner on turf less than a year later. Name him.
