And yes owners get "hooked" on running horses 4 1/2 furlongs. Turns them into zombies that just start spending more and more.

There are few things in this sport, which is full of bad ideas, that is more idiotic or disproven than the idea that horses shouldnt compete as 2 year olds.

I don't have a problem with them competing as 2 year olds. I just want them to run tbred distances.

Guys, Charlestown runs 15 4.5f races every week.

Doubtful anyone other than the Sartinistas is playing this track.

Is this a 2 turn race at CT?

Almost. They start them from the chute. Its an interesting niche though.

They have some nice purses and they are just going to get bigger now that table games have arrived.

Why run them longer than they are ready to go? In april they are ready to go 4 1/2. I have no defense of the 2 furlong races.

How would you card mdn special races when there are only a handful, and thats not really an exaggeration, of owners buying reasonable priced horses and sending them to socal?

They would ALWAYS run a straight mdn three year old race the first day, then a filly race thurs-fri, and then one each over the weekend. These races would raw well the first week.

You would have your top flight owners, Paulson, Lewis, Harbor View, Moss, etc etc, then the rest would be made up of smaller barn owners who had maybe 5-10 horses but a few decent bred.

Now the big owners are all dead, money dont go to socal anymore. The middle guy is extinct out there.

Who doesn't go to Charles Town? I've never been in a Vegas or Atlantic City casino as crowded as that place was last weekend.

Rock So Hard, a Rock Hard Ten colt who has worked with Smash, is expected to debut for Baffert and the Summit Racing syndicate on Saturday in the first scheduled straight maiden race of the meet.

Yeah I think Zenyatta has raced like twice or three times as much as QR this year. QR is is like Dominique Wilkins and Zenyatta is like...umm...some other athlete that never competed or faced anyone worth a darn.

Delmar 2yo MSW

The first Condition Book is without a 2yo MSW. They are saving them for the second half of the meet Book 2

Musket Man / Tizway

Dry Martini / Delightful Kiss

You and I Forever / Congressional Page

Yeah

Beating the likes of these is a CAREER for most horses. QR has done it in a matter of 3 races. Wowwwwwwwwwwwwww

And he's working up a storm too, from what I read.

ELIXIR is Flowingggggggggggggggggggggggggg

Expect big things at the Spahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Trust me, I'm not calling QR any kind of monster by comparing him to Z. They both exemplify MANY things that are wrong with horse racing today IMO.
