nothing like a stretch duel between the two longest shots in the race to blow up 90% of the p 6 tickets.

Marty, little guys (and I consider myself one) just don't have the budget to play pick 6's. Period. And guess what, if for some reason they scraped up enough cash to maybe take a shot, they are/would be most likely dead after that race (just like the majority of the free world are.).

the main point of the thread was the track being closed on a sunday and the customer that plays on sunday getting shut out and having to go to another product (monmouth)

the guy that plays sat and sun only , got shut out for 1 day , whether he plays win , place , show , ex's tri's dd's or picks , he is a customer and got shut out

to think that the syndicates who make up the majority of the $4mm in the pick 6 pool wouldn't have been in on sunday is downright ludicrous

I'm not going back into the subjct again Marty. You believe it was a mistake and are entitled to your opinion. You also believed that they were going to leave alot of money on the table. By the looks of the pool, it doesn't look like they left that much on the table. The people who were going to bet the carryover reguardless when they raced, managed a way to get their bets in wherever they are today.

Scav 06-09-2010 02:22 PM

I'd love to see what the TS.com players pool had, I can't seem to find their tickets on the website. If anyone is to have the horse, that is the type of money you are gonna have to put in, they had 60k to play with

the pick 6 is the pick 6 , it would have gotten amount big amount either day

you honestly don't believe that even if it was a sunny day today , onsite attendance would have been higher today than sunday , surely you can't?

I'm trying to figure out why you're continuing this ridiculous and futile crusade. Are you actually trying to say that if they had a card Sunday it wouldn't have included today's races and the small bettor might have enjoyed a better chance in the Pick 6 pool?

Now I feel like I need to cheer twice as hard for Sciacca's entry (with Dr. Paul's horse as the straight 1). But I agree, they seemingly have a lock on it.

no the on site attendance would have been higher on sunday than today , even if today was a sunny day

nyra would have had a higher overall handle on sunday over today that's what i am saying

the pick 6 would have had around the same $$$ either day because the syndicate $$$ which probably makes up over 90% of the total pool size would have been there sunday or wednesday

the total handle would have been higher because more people bet on sunday than wed

It isn't going to pay what people are thinking. The bigger tickets bought that race because they were 2-3 deep in the first.

Especially if you singled the first leg.

Simon Bray is alive to three singles, he hits and they might as well just talk about that for the next three years

Coach Pants 06-09-2010 02:40 PM

Would you bet your life on that? Like agree to be flown to Iraq and used to diffuse IED's if you're wrong?

Maybe NYRA will test it out if you are up to testing your theory.

MISTERGEE 06-09-2010 02:41 PM

6X5X6 IN LAST 3 LEGS
i guess somebodys hitting it

He might have it. Of course he won't actually hit it...he's clown shoes.

I completely agree. Three chalks in a row will lead to a payoff that makes the TS Players' Pool a loser. The 5th, the leg of course where I was knocked out, did not have a heavy favorite and only had 6 horses, so reaching deep there was not too difficult for the people who played bigger tickets.
