We don't want these two to meet until the Breeders Cup. This sport thrives on what ifs. Lets not actually have them race each other until the majority of fans are to the point of not giving a s.hit.

how did you guess?(who cares) as if she even has a shot right now against zenyatta or the other males. breeders cup classic when you can't even win a simple prep....when pigs fly....if she does not win one soon she won't even be entered come fall. shes losing against zardana and unrivaled belle.....lets move her up....good luck!

How in the f.uck does anyone know if she can when they've never raced each other? It's not like Zenyatta is some kind of murderer on dirt.

yeah, she has not been able to beat the second stringers...apparently they knew it when they withdrew her from oaklawn....you know the race that zenyatta laughed around the track and won for the second time on dirt. where was rachel?? june 12 is soon enough for me to bet against her again...lol

Why are you s.hit talking when the two haven't met? I swear to god some of you are certifiably retarded. There is no rivalry because they've never raced. All of this what if bs is for the short bus contingent.

Strage comment coming from a critic of Zenyatta, yes Obeah is quite laughbable for the great Rachel Alexandra.

He forgot the 'all options are open' comment. It's a broken record we know...

How so? Zenyatta has two facile scores in Grade 1 races this year. There's no reason for her not to maintain that level or (perish the thought) even step it up another notch.

Rachel Alexandra has been beaten on the square as the heavy favorite in two lower level races. Seems fairly sensible to me that another "prep" or drop in class is the most potent tactic to get her back in the winner's circle.

The dirt version of Unrivaled Belle is G1 quality imo

Dropping in class from 2 Gr.2's is not what I would call a confident placing for a horse that was facing males last year and ran almost exclusively in Gr.1 races. If she is entered in the Obeah, I would surmise the end is near, however didn't we just read a glowing report of her last work? Believe me, I hope the end isn't near for her, she's great for racing and I do want to see her close to last year so she can make the BC.

Possibly, but as it stands on paper, her only Grade 1 to date she was beaten by Flashing, who wasn't within 20 lengths of Rachel Alexandra in the Mother Goose.

To be clear, Rachel Alexandra could go in any of those races mentioned and obviously be a contender for the win, but I don't think the Obeah is out of place on that list.

Didn't reigning 3yo champ Skip Away get dusted at odds-on in two races at Gulfstream to start his '97 campaign (having defeated the great Cigar in his final start at 3) and look for relief next out in a listed stakes at Lone Star (coincidentally he lost that race also)?

You should be associated with the Pro-Zenyatta camp that fervently fails to separate 2009 from 2010.

Does it shed any light on the greatest mystery (RA's next start) since the Zodiac killing spree?

Rachel Alexandra pointed for Obeah stakes, after careful consideration...we feel her fitness level is at about 90%, with the layoff she has had, we therefore feel this is the best race for her at the this time.
