Dana's Bell figured to show speed. But once she doesn't, one of the other morons (namely Corny) has to realize that and use their horse a little bit. Like you said, It's Not for Love is a quitter and you've got a better shot pressing the pace and trying to hold off the closers than you do of reeling in a loose leader from the back. These clowns don't understand that for some reason.

It was pretty funny to watch actually. I've never seen a jockey go from "confidently looking back for competition" to "furiously whipping and driving" so quickly.
