By the way ... if anyone wants to watch a really great stretch battle ... Amabo (who I believe ran a 94 Beyer in his prior start) hooked up with Stoneyer next time out.

Amabo was made the 3/5 favorite - Stoneyer was the 6/5 second choice.

Stoneyer's career record is 21-18-3-0 ... he was 2nd in his first two starts racing at the distance of 2 furlongs. At distances beyond 2fs - he's 19-18-1-0 lifetime - and he's a perfect 6-for-6 in PR Graded Stakes races.

Keep in mind - that Stoneyer's a Florida bred son of Graeme Hall (bought for 27K as a yearling and imported) - so he's not elidgible for any of those silly restricted races. Neither is Amabo .. Satish Sanan bred him in Fla.

This race basically looks like a showdown between the two true best horses to race in Puerto Rico last year... a couple of horses capable of mid 90 Beyers ... which would make them competitve in classy alw races and even Gr 3 stakes if they came over here.

When you're not:

** watching baby training videos or

** hand timing races or

** doing all those historical comparisons of horses (clearly you're the preemminent BEYERIAN historian presently)

you're making speed figures for races in South America. :zz:

Thanks for the laughs, man.

I envy your energy; and the fact that you have all this free time. I can barely find the time to get in a bet with work and all (let alone do all these META handicapping things.)

You neglected to mention his racino schemes and his efforts to feed the homeless.
