I feel bad for this guy's family, and the families of those injured or killed. The guy was deranged to do this sh!t. I hate paying taxes as much as any red blooded American but I never blamed the IRS for having to pay taxes. I know people who work for the IRS. Good people who have all kinds of political views. Working to make a living, pay the bills, feed the kids. We heard all about this guy being a tea-bagging psycho. We heard all about the shooter at the Holocaust museum being a red neck white supremisist( howeverthefukitspelled), but the Fort Hood mass murderer can't be called a fanatical Islamic Jihadist killer? Don't want to offend anyone? Time to call a pig a pig. This guy was the ultimate Coward. Like all terrorists.

I agree with you. Unfortunately, this has combined the guilty until proven innocent method of the IRS, with a cowardly act of a deranged person. But just because one is unjustified, doesn't mean the other is.

The law is the law. Unfortunately, everyone owes what they owe. Make an honest effort to pay it like most Americans. B!tching about it is one thing, going on a suicidal killing spree is quite another.

I'm not sure if you have ever tried to deal with the IRS, even after they finally admit you are right, but it is a very tortuerous process. It's so easy to say just pay what you owe, but in reality, that isn't how it happens.

The IRS is every man's nightmare! One hand doesn't know what the other is doing, 20,000 pages of tax law, new laws written every year, ever hear of VAT?

SOREHOOF 02-21-2010 07:28 AM

Flat tax would be better than VAT. With VAT you never really know how much of the listed price is tax.

i guess i still need to get used to the idea that's a normal attitude.

no, they were not saying they agreed with flying a plane into the building
they agreed the IRS is abusive.

sorry you needed to take it another way

I have a friend that went into tax court and the judge sided with him. Not long after that, he gets another letter from the IRS saying pay up or else. it never ends.

he gets checks from them all the time and refuses to cash any of them.
