Yeah I'm ready to go too!

Southwest NOT a scored race

Just got this from RTTR:

No, the Southwest will not be a scoring race. It was not included on the published schedule when it was originally scheduled to be run last weekend, and at this point it would not be fair to add it since many people have already selected their stables.

Someone start the damn thing already so I can pad my contest resume with another easy victory.

But what if Mike W from Kentucky should enter, or is he just a poly specialist?

He's a poly quarter horse sprint specialist.

Whenever you have a field of over 1,500 people and only have 10 races to work with - it's like "they're off, and here's the wire"

A 2nd, 4th, and 54th place finish would have translated to like a 20 length victory if it was a single 30 race contest instead of 3 different ten race ones.

So basically what you are saying is that you have tactical speed too and are able to rate going long?

The Indomitable DrugS 02-19-2010 05:47 PM

I see myself as someone who's best distance is 25 miles. Thus the longer and more tedious a grind the contest is .. the better for me.

With that said ... even I will be secretly rooting against myself since no money is involved. It's fun watching the cocky lose.

Question Steve, I notice some folks have multiple teams in the league is that ok? I thought last year it was a 1 team per league, just curious? Thanks.

mclem0822 02-19-2010 11:19 PM

Florida residents still are NOT eligible for prizes, this blows!:(

Arletta 02-20-2010 08:51 AM

I added all 3 of my stables.. I assumed this was o.k...?

Hickory Hill Hoff 02-20-2010 08:56 AM

In with my stable, but a very basic one :zz: this weekend the contenders show up & hopefully the "basic" ones for my stable :o

rpncaine 02-20-2010 09:32 AM

So did I.....

Arletta 02-20-2010 11:10 AM

Well, if we are only allowed one, then I want to keep the "One Day" as my main stable.

I take that back after today :D

ddthetide 02-20-2010 01:25 PM

National Champion Stable is in. :D

I couldn't disagree with this any more...

What kind of a mamby-pamby weenie watches Survivor and roots for Boston Rob to get voted off the island?

I hope you finish second to me. Watching the cocky back it all up is electrifying. Don't ever be ashamed about being The Rock.

The Indomitable DrugS 02-21-2010 12:50 PM

It's going to be an uphill climb for me as I didn't use the Fountain of Youth winner and will have to pick him up next round.

17th out of 130 isn't the worst of starts .. but I'm probably toast after one race.

The Indomitable DrugS 03-14-2010 08:13 AM

I wonder why they still haven't updated this??

I think I surged into the top 5 after yesterdays results.

jwkniska 03-14-2010 10:48 PM

figures I enter the wrong stable of mine in the one on here (I entered 3 of them). my best is overall top 100

The Indomitable DrugS 03-15-2010 07:04 AM

I'm 4th right now.

I'm the only person in the entire top 23 that didn't use Eskenderya.

Had I used Eskenderya instead of Buddy's Saint I'd be way out in front .. and probably heavily favored to win the national overall.
