There are so many what if's just trying to get back to the track let alone to the form that these ladies ran to last year. Now if they can get back to that form (not an automatic) to both camps desire, there's still the matter of agreeing to a race/track (with everyone's luck it will probably rain that day anyway complicating matters further). Also what if one of them should lose a comeback race, would the matchup lose any of the luster that it would have had say the race was last year? I personally just think it isn't going to happen.

If both horses are sound - I obviously expect it to happen at least once.

You got it all wrong, scat daddy … Z is coming after Lucky Alexander this season.

The exposure of Lucky will be a glorious thing to behold…

After an extensive study of message board posting, I have determined that the more a poster repeats the same post the less he/she has to say.

Wait a While was still awesome at 4 and 5 and Ginger Punch continued being her slow self after her Eclipse. All Ashado did was win three more G1's at 4 and run third behind a runaway winner in the Distaff. I don't see a precedent for Rachel's regression if she's healthy.

Very true, Throat … and I didn't have to do an "extensive study" … just looked over a few "dellinger63" and "Nascar1966" posts on the Politics board … lol

Z ... nuff said

Wait a While was awesome? When? She was decent and a product of her connections.. She was a Group 2 (europe) animal with a Clen drip.. Ashado was perhaps the biggest fraud Chumpion of all time..

She would be 1 to 5 in a mythical match race with Ginger Punch.

Told myself the same thing. It was actually a New Year's resolution that's quickly going awry.

Scat OUT

Remember Oaklawn Park? I believe her best speed figure to date and that is dirt.
It will be a good race. Probably at Belmont Park.

Way to read. I said she didn't seriously regress after three. Her fastest race was her '07 Ballston Spa if I'm not mistaken.

You think? Why another perfect trip? Ginger Punch is an easy mare to knock and nobody liked her because she was slow for the level of success she achieved winning races. Neither were "all that' unless you owned them or trained them.

Actually I read that "she was still awesome at 4 and 5".. His was an ok mare that ran during a highly suspect time in her trainers reign. She was never awesome

cmorioles 02-03-2010 07:41 AM

Both got perfect trips many times, but Ashado was faster.

slotdirt 02-03-2010 09:11 AM

Ashado lost to Silmaril. That is all.

Hey, Holy Bull was a 1/5 favorite against Cigar and others in the Donn Handicap - and look what happened. Cigar made him suffer a breakdown after just a few furlongs.
