He was full of horse coming to the start of the turn and then he whipped the horse on the shoulder and nothing happened. Then he took the horse back and the Declans Moon crossed the wire full of energy. Appears that the horse bled. Physically he looked perfect, probably just bled a little.

he crossed it...bleeding or entrapped. he just kinda quit, but looked ok physically.

They scoped him and he bled a little bit. But more importantly than that, he had a lot of mucus, leading them to believe that he has a lung infection. They'll get the results back in a couple of days and find out exactly what kind of infection he has, but it appears that he has an infection.

He had acted fine every day leading up to the race, so there was no way of knowing that there was anything wrong. This appears to be similar to what happened to Afleet Alex in the Rebel.

That is really good news. It should be something that can be corrected. He looked good in the paddock but was alittle wet going into the gate.
