I'm sure some of these Godolphin horses are going to be back (Vineyard Haven, Girolamo, Regal Ransom) and I know they're bringing back Sara Louise.

It's in Ocala. Shows up as NJF in the horse's pp's. I think it is Fred Hooper's old property.

Sparkles!

That OH! Derby! was a great time. My friend still ribs us for being late to his wedding reception because a group of us snuck over to Thistledown between the ceremony and reception (he's from Cleveland... is the editor of a racing rag... and had his wedding on Ohio Derby day a mile from the track. What did he expect out of a bunch of degens?!?)

A lot of owners may have figured out that the economy has made it less likely that somebody will spend millions, or even a significant fraction of a million, for a stallion prospect. Fees are falling for even proven stallions, and a lot of marginal mares that might have been bred previously are being taken out of production. Possibly more money to be made on the track, just like the old days.(Huzzah!)

Most certainly. After this year's BC I may have to pull out an old DRF just to remind myself I can sometimes hit a big superfecta.

Less horses, more races. Good. Sometimes less is more.
