Nada .....but for the learning impaired like myself please explain the betting on the horses 20-24 being all 5-1. Does that mean you get all those horses if you bet anything on 20-24. Pretty cool idea actually if thats what it means

Corey Brown missed by a nose last yr and by all accounts was disconsolate after the race, ends up winning the Cup 1 year later. I guess the lesson here is you have to experience 2 extremes to truly appreciate it.

You know I actually got lucky on the Diva's first cup, I think Dermot Weld had his great stayer in that race, the name escapes me at the moment, he took a ton of money. She actually paid around $20 to win that yr.

Cheers to anyone who had it.

I'm a moron... didn't realize Mourilyans colors were that of the Chechen flag.

Does Kadyrov get the :$: ??? Should he? Thoughts (?)

I was at Flemington on Tuesday, and both before, during and now after the race I don't think it was one of the best renewals we have seen (and that is perhaps being generous).

For once, they went off pretty slow in a staying race, which is widely noted for the pace it is run at.

There were a lot of non stayers in the race and a lot of horses who needed them to go faster.

Crime Scene should never ever be allowed to get so close to winning a Melbourne Cup. Because it was run more like a European staying event, the English horses ran pretty well.

Well done to Shocking, but I'm less than convinced the best horse won.

Crown Oaks
Miss with Attitude $20wp

Who you going with in the Emirates Stakes tomorrow, Coach Pants?

Looks like one of the best races of the Carnival to me.

From a North American standpoint I share this view, this year's Cup was a little on the light side from an excitement standpoint.
