We were referring to fans in general, not necessarily at games.
Not to mention that a yankee fan in another thread called Derek Jeter the greatest player of all time. That alone is a case rester.

Where do Notres Damas fan fit here?
"The ND D needs some work. However, the O came on, and made it a game, as in one slip and the outcome just might have been different. The day is coming when these so called real teams can't play those that can't cut the grades. And you know exactly what that means.
Mediocrity? No. Weak schedule - No. ND's schedule is just like every year. Their schedule stacks up with anyone out there. Hey, Washington beat USC, and ND beat Washignton. Who played a 1AA school yesterday? How many SEC / ACC teams play 1AA schools or weak lower tier 1A? Who played Western Kentucky; not ND. These teams stats get bumped up and the media just flows with - oh how good they are.
I agree, the ND left tackle could not handle the DE speed, on his side. However, as the game went on, the line improved. I agree that ND has to become faster, which has improved with the recent recuirtment classes. They had nothing when Ty was let go, insomuch in depth and speed. ND did more against the USC D than anyone has thus far... Again one slip from a least a tie score. Also, MF #3 would have made a difference too.
On ND's d side, the DB's did not show up, at least on three seris. Yes, the USC TE or WR were wide open and it made Barkley look great. I do not know if that was bad calls on the D alignment or missed assignments by the DB's? Nonetheless, mistakes made that allowed easy USC scores.
About every school you listed, wanted a lot of the same players now on ND's team. The talent is getting there, even if they have to be real students. Unlike most of the SEC. Big Ten, and Pac Ten for that matter.
I don't care who the team is, when you spear someone who has their back turned to you, being held up by your teammate, you should get tossed. The Oregon RB - wrong too, but for a different reason, and properly taking care of. I'm not sure I agree with the full season, however. If he is back, then good for him, and hopefully he learned a thing or two.
Otherwise, just another player being used by a college for nothing more than winning football games. That does not happen at ND!
