Though you're missing the point of the big budget contest concept with the snide remark, Nick wouldn't have needed the $2,000 to hit this sequence yesterday.

Not missing any point Steve just commenting on his comment that he didn't play it because he was short of time. He can comment on my complaining about the pathetic short stakes fields at Belmont so I have the same right.
Since you choose to defend him from my harmless comment I then take it that he is a DT chosen one and I will not make such snide remarks in the future. Your comment on him not needing 2000 bucks to hit it is true of course unless he leaned hard on In Te Domine which a lot of people did.

LOL.. I don't think Nick, or me either, are feeling to good about not being in the hunt for this pretty amazing $30k payoff. I'm sick over not putting together the multi plays yesterday with a contractor in the house to deal with as I think a back-up ticket likely gets the skein. There was really only the one tough horse to get to, (And I talked about Silenced Tuesday on air as sneaky previewing the race), and it was just a matter of structure and or investment.

No, I don't routinely play $1,920 tickets and I thought it was understood in my comment that I'd play a smaller ticket, especially considering all the world could see four of the six winners posted on top on a particular website (eh hem www.capitalotb.com).

The payoff was outstanding and the sequence was more than manageable.
