Coming from New Orleans, I can deal with the humidity. What is hard to tolerate in the Ark-La-Tex is the humidity plus the century topping temps. A decade ago, we had an August where it was 100+ for over half the month.

Dry heat will do me in. I feel like I can't breathe. Give me the New Orleans "soaking wet within 30 seconds outside" summer humidity any time.
