Daly withdraws then releases this song

I gotta admit it does not sound that bad, and I rarely listen to country

First time I ever been on twitter, no kidding

I can't believe no one is talking about this Yang absolutely snubbing ole Tiger, ole boy is straight striking the ball right now.....

1/2 brother to Chin Yang

Coach Pants 08-16-2009 06:35 PM

Better half of The Ying Yang Twins.

GPK 08-16-2009 07:07 PM

Congrats to Yang. Nice to see someone look Tiger in the eye and outplay him, in a final round of a major no less. They gotta be dancing in the streets of South Korea this morning.

I can't remember seeing Tiger hit so many double-crosses with his irons than I did in the last 2 days. Kinda sh*tty of him to not at least give a few words to CBS when he was done.

Coach Pants 08-16-2009 07:20 PM

Well he's a bad sport. It also would be nice for him not to say GD all of the time.

He's always classy when he wins or is hitting it well. When he's not, not so much......... He should have putted first and let Yang have the glory since the result was not in doubt. Not very classy.

Seattleallstar 08-16-2009 07:44 PM

I am just shocked, Tiger couldnt putt end of story. Only analyst to have him pegged was Brandel Chamblee on the golf channel. Yang showed alot of heart and balls with hes meddle. Especially some of the shots he pulled off were one of the best in the history of major golf given the circumstances. The 2nd shot on 18th with that now famed hybrid club.

You know here is an interesting thought - Some pro athletes loose their "animal instinct" when they become a parent. I wonder if that may be the case with Tiger?

I don't have a problem with the cursing. He's high profile, so there are cameras and mics on him for just about every shot he hits during the course of a tournament. He's gonna hit bad shots and to expect him to not show anger and emotion is crazy. But at the end of the day it is his responsibility to address the media concerning this loss, especially a loss of this magnitude. Poor decision on his part.

Which media? He had a 20 min conference on Golf Channel after the match?

dellinger63 08-16-2009 10:31 PM

Let's just hope he doesn't get an RV and park it at the local Hooters.

Kind of shitty, but not the end of the world. Post event interviews in golf (as well as most other sports) are pretty lame.

golfer 08-17-2009 05:16 AM

Just read Sean O'Hair went out first, by himself, and finished in 2 hours and 13 minutes. He was told to slow down, as he was catching up to the greens crew.

I played yesterday in a little over 3 hours... would not have taken that long if I hadn't taken so many shots:(

Not the end of the world at all and I'm still a huge fan of tiger, but he still needs to take care of things like that.

Gander 08-17-2009 10:34 AM

I love Tiger but lets face it, hes a very bad loser. When he does talk to the press after a defeat, the onus is always on him, not how well the other guy played. Its always how badly he putted and he didnt have his A game. He said something nice about Padraig's wonderful sand shot from Saturday but it was like he was placating him. When Tiger does compliment his fellow players it doesnt feel genuine.

Because he is so loved by the tour and by the networks, he gets a free pass when it comes to dropping F bombs and throwing clubs. Anyone else would be criticized and possibly suspended. Kind of reminds me of how "certain trainers" get a free pass when it comes to getting hot and winning races in bunches, while the same kinds of streaks by other "less liked trainers" immediately get received as they are cheating. I guess thats the societty we live in. People are judeged according to how they are perceived and liked by the public. Some get to live and play by a different set of rules.

I remember 4-5 years ago Daly went out first on a Sunday in Memphis.
I forgot the other pro he was playing with...but they played in under 2 hours and were fined by the pga tour.
