Jason Alexander's been beating up on mediocre colts and some really bad fillies.

She'll probably duck QR in the Travers ... and have her way with more bad comp somewhere else.

Z would school her if they ever met out west...

It's not clear how RA would do on proride, so it's easier to say Z would win on the west coast

Lol ... yeah, those two look like real monsters, VJ

A Speightstown colt in a two-turn 9f affair ... now there's a real formidable competitor ... lol

Z would own her at the BC...

On that surface sure. Not on dirt though.

I agree about the QR part, I dont think they want any part of him.

Don't they also have Kensei? I'm sure they don't want to throw Rachel and Kensei in the same race if they can divide and conquer the Travers and Woodward potentially. Plus if Kensei doesn't beat QR it's less of a problem for Jackson's plans than if RA were to lose. The Woodward just seems like a really nice spot in that she'd go a furlong less and against older males in a race never won by a filly it would really be historic too. I also think people are just blowing off poor Mine That Bird. The horse, when ridden the way he needs to be, is dangerous at 1 1/4. I'm actually looking forward to seeing him in the Travers, RA or no RA.

Sign of the apocalypse:

Someone saying Zenyatta is better than Rachel because the competition Rachel has faced is weak.

Does Zenyatta and TVG's fascination with her remind anyone of USC? It does for me, especially for all of those years when they played in the Rose Bowl and literally left the West Coast 0 times.

I think its more likely if they were to face off in the Classic to end the year they would both be looking up the tailpipes of a Euro at the wire.

I do think it's ironic when the NYRA lovers accuse anyone else of a bias. And that has nothing to do with USC...agreed

I agree, I too am looking forward to MTB in The Travers. Has taken to the track really well, loves his new surrourndings, had a really nice work out today.
He's been flying under the radar,of sorts. I look for a huge effort on the 29th.

Yeah, I forgot, everyone is quivering at the sight of seeing Anabaa's Creation and Lethal Heat in a Grade 1 race...please, Zenyatta is beating NW3X and G3 at best quality fields in California. Rachel would dust Zenyatta...But I forgot, Anabaa's Creation and Lethal Heat are better than Summer Bird and Munnings. You might want to come back when you find a clue.

Let's assume that Z wins the BC Classic, beating the BEST in THE WORLD. And RA is in her stall while this is happening (after having beaten up on the usual suspects in some race at BEL previously).

Hard to make a case for R as horse of the year, IMO.

No way. She has run more often and traveled all over. Not only that, she has totally dominated her competition.

Zenyatta has yet to leave the comfy confines of SoCal and done nothing but beat up on high priced claimers, some barely.

If Rachel was in the race yesterday, she'd win geared down by 5 minimum.

It doesnt matter if she travelled or not. If Zenyatta beat older males in the BC Classic, it would trump anything that Rachel did the entire year.

Not really when it is run on polytrack, or Proride, or whatever is installed that week. Everyone knows it is a third surface.
