That was an awesome race. A shame that one of them had to lose.

That was a bit special. 6 lengths, and could have been more.

10-1 for the Guineas now.

Impressive speed there from Strike The Tiger for the USA. Nice win, and the stablemates will have to be respected later in the week.

I hope some of you had some cash on Canford Cliffs. A stunning performance.

I'm not sure if he will be a guineas horse though, could be a seriously good sprinter.

If you head over to Ireland, I set the over/under on number of times you hear the word " wanker " at 37 1/2.

I thought 'wanker' was just an English term??

I guess we all can't be as cool or fit in like you can...

Did you consider the possibility that perhaps I was speaking from personal experience?

No, I couldn't fathom the idea of anyone calling you a wanker...

blackthroatedwind 06-16-2009 09:36 PM

It's unfathomable.

If he is dressed as he is in my avatar, I'll crush the over on that.

Take the under in that case.....he will be killed LONG before the count hits the mid 30s.

British horses just don't have the speed over sprint distances that US and Aussie horses do. We emphasize it in our racing programs over classic distance ability, so is this any surprise?

I see that the formal black cowboy hat was worn in the winner's circle for Jealous Again. Very cool.

How'd Spacious look? I'm thrilled she won - she hadn't been in great form since early in her 3 year old year.

Betsy, it was a rather enterprising ride from Murtagh to win it,he didnt set that fast a gallop but she battled back when challenged by Heaven Sent. She didnt look too great last time out at Epsom, but many horses just cant handle that track. She should be there or thereabouts in G1 races this year!
