Going in on Paper, of course. Could turn out to be a dud but Im looking forward to it.

I'm too tired to look at the tape tonight but I recall This One's for Phil having abit of trouble in his last, made a mental note. Munnings could finally be ready to run a big one to justify his big purchase price.

The pps are out, the Belmont is BORING. The only race here to make any serious money in is the Reserve.

Bobby Fischer 06-03-2009 10:50 PM

I see Mine That Bird struggling to get 3rd or 4th here. This ought to be an honest race, and I am in the minority who thinks that MTB is a better 9 or 10 furlong horse than 12 furlongs.

Charitable Man seems to be the standout talent from watching his races.
Extra credit like strong conduit mare pedigree, brazenly (over)confident handling only boost my confidence.

Dunkirk is a little bit of an unknown. He was in my top 3 or 4 classic distance 3yos and none of the others are still around. Stumble in the Derby was pretty bad. I usually don't like Velazquez unless he has presser who can sit outside the pace. Could the pace work out that way here?
Have plenty of doubts about Dunkirk, but can not toss from win.

Of the longer shot horses, Brave Victory seems ok to me for maybe a single 3rd or 4th on a single race exotic. He showed tactical speed initially as a 2yo. Swale Lexington PeterPan were 3 impossible races for Brave Victory, and he responded pretty well considering. Maragh will give an effort and he has a little bit of a middle move in him.

Chocolate Candy rounds out my chalkiest of trifecta/superfecta thoughts :(

steve , looks like Zambezi Sun will probably scratch

Modern Look in the Just a Game might just be able to take them all the , training very well

And how in the world do you expect Modern Look to take them "all the way" in the Just a Game when there's not a chance in hell she even clears off from Raw Silk early? It's going to be pretty hard to go wire-to-wire when the horse won't even see the early lead.

Sure, if Raw Silk scratches then Modern Look may be able to go wire to wire.

Did they say somewhere ZS would prob scratch or are you assuming based on the post positionand having the same jock listed? Unfortunately, I have chased this horse pretty hard his last couple out.

So in the same conversation he told you that Zambezi Sun is going to be scratched he also told you that Modern Look is going to the front? Can he tell you why Zambezi Sun has turned out to be such a goat?
