She can't run in a race she won't be entered in. To answer in a different way, I still think that the two best 3yos this year are both fillies, SB and Rachel Alexandra and I think either of them could win the Derby if entered and I like SB over Rachel.

Obviously, yesterday was not what I wanted to see. I have been known to be wrong before. Still thinks she wins the Oaks if they run her there. Proud Spell ran third in this race last year and won the Oaks. We'll see.

Because I'm working with the assumption that Stardom Bound is better than Rachel and if I'm wrong about one, I probably overestimated both. So I'm saying that I don't think either of them could win the Derby now. I'm also working under the belief that a race where you've got one horse to beat that is on your level or better is easier to win than a race where you've got 5-6 such horses.

It would help your cause if you were even occasionally right.
