No, but it does make you a smart ass for making such an obviously flawed comparison.

The Indomitable DrugS 04-02-2009 01:08 PM

Not only has Terrain beaten POTN in both of their synthetic track meetings - but the last time he crossed the wire on top was in a small stake at Mountaineer Park!

The true 'great race place.'

Yeah, but too bad Proudinsky isn't going to run in the Maker's Mark next Friday :(

Grasshopper will though!!

Oh, she will be ;)

IEAH stable own her now, I think they saw the potential, too.

I think she'll make a mockery of this Gr2

She can't run in a race she won't be entered in. To answer in a different way, I still think that the two best 3yos this year are both fillies, SB and Rachel Alexandra and I think either of them could win the Derby if entered and I like SB over Rachel.

Not sure if its me...or..... Has anyone noticed that POTN... ( since Dec. 07, 2008) .. has ""posted"" workouts of 6f & 5f....and all of a sudden.... before this race is a 4f workout...? :zz:

Wow. :zz:

And I think if Giselle Bundchen had met me first then Tom Brady would still be single. Still think they'll split if she runs into me. Hell, Lyle Lovett married Julia Roberts. We'll see.

As if on cue.

It was no more predictable than you continuing to insist that Stardom Bound is as good as you thought. A simple " I was wrong about her " would have sufficed. We're all wrong more often than not in this game. Even you.

At least my post was a little clever....you gotta give me that.

I expected more from you, especially since analogies and such are your thing.

It's the logic that bothers me here. You're implying that Tom Brady would not have found someone else by now had Giselle met you first.

And saying yesterday was not what I wanted to see and saying I've been wrong before (which was a clear indication that I was admitting I was wrong here) wasn't good enough to satisfy you? Now, if I had said I still think she's the best 3yo and could win the Derby, I'd see your point. Saying I still think she could win the Oaks was a step down.

You're wrong there.

She'd have married Randy Moss.

How is it a step down if you think the other filly, Rachel Alexandra, would win the Derby? Doesn't that make the Oaks a harder race to win with her in it?

Because I'm working with the assumption that Stardom Bound is better than Rachel and if I'm wrong about one, I probably overestimated both. So I'm saying that I don't think either of them could win the Derby now. I'm also working under the belief that a race where you've got one horse to beat that is on your level or better is easier to win than a race where you've got 5-6 such horses.

It would help your cause if you were even occasionally right.

Your last prediction was that Rail Link was one of the all-time greats. I guess when he held on by a nose, against three opponents, his train to immortality hasn't been derailed?

Sorry, and I'm sure you will get all bent out of shape, but making one claim after another that makes both little sense before and after races only gives you the right to hold dearly onto these opinions if you are posting in the wild democracy of the internet.
