"Couldn't run out of sight on a dark night."
The Green Monkey just got a trivia question shout out at the commercial break. Hmm I wonder what's the most money paid for a TB racehorse (obviously as a racing prospect not as a stallion prospect)...$2.5 mil, $7 mil, could it be....$16 million? Yup, that was easy.

Loved Brandon Meier talking to his Dad about his win and then looking at the camera and saying 'he must have been out with ONE of his g/f's' , on the day before Valentines Day. I know someone who's in trouble. Good Luck Randy.

I thought this week's episodes were much better than last week's.

the one thing that bothers me is the phony racecalls from Trevor Denman.

Would love to know what gave you that conclusion. If you're going by results, I find it hard to believe at least some of that didn't have a lot to do with being given mostly lousy horses. Nevermind being a woman from another country so getting them to give you anything to ride period seemed to be a struggle.

dellinger63 02-14-2009 08:32 PM

ie Inez Karlson at Arl? Guess trainers are only prejudice against Ausies and not Sweeds. She can't ride period!! AM or PM. Get rid of the baby fat and bad attitude. Makes friends w/Brandon M and then sulks when he wins his first? Sorry back to Australia where she belongs.

She sucked in Australia as well, poor girl.

Hot is nothing that comes to mind when I see her. Now Chantel? Whole other story.

Explains a lot about the 'better than sex' remark Kayla made. ;)

Seriously though what was she doing in Australia that made her bad? I honestly don't know, it's not that I'm defending her. I just enjoyed hearing some of the things like with Baffert this past week discussing Brandon and his height as one thing that made people nervous. That's an actual point that doesn't indicate a bias like 'I lost money and I blame the jock, ergo he/she sucks.' There was some discussion about Gomez vs. Smith that, again, indicated exactly why you'd go with one or the other based on technique.

Kayla said herself she had problems as a younger person and supposedly has it under control so maybe she didn't do herself any favors. One of the other jockeys on the show said she often rides horses anybody else would avoid so that can't help. Does she not place her horse well? Does she manhandle them? What does she do other than not win frequently? Like what would be her fault specifically? I'm just trying to learn.

It's really mostly the horse, I'm sure Kayla is a very skilled rider, but seriously.....if she's in a race where the rest of the field has beyer figures in the 70s let's say.....and she's on a 30-1 shot that has never broken 60.......there's really not much one can do. I don't care if Jerry Bailey is riding that 30-1 shot, the horse just isn't any good and never will be.

She puts horses in spots they have no chance of winning from unless she breaks on the lead. 8 wins from 150 mounts last year. One win for every 18.25 mounts explans a lot. IMO and 'manhandling' a horse made me laugh for some reason. To me it looks like she barely has the strength to stay on. Two turns appears too much for her regardless of the horse she is on. Looks like she needs to be in the gym instead of sulking about other people's success. Plus I want to see less of her and more of Chantel !!!

This is probably the worst reality show ever. They replay the same **** over 15,000 times. It's ridiculous.

I'm willing to bet that was a major edit.

For those of you trying to convince yourselves that Kayla Stra is better looking than that Sutherland woman:

Your taste has been called into question.
