thanks all

I was looking for titles for my son, but I am sure I will scan it heavily before I give it to him, then read it before he goes back to UK. I stay pretty busy therefore my handicapping gets rusty. It is hard to jump in and out so Steves show helps me stay current. And, I keep my TVG account charged up just in case. I have a Twinspires account to,,, but, Churchill downs annoys me, so I try not to use it much. Don't get me started on those guys, and I grew up at that track!

Buck,

Another one I like is "Money Secrets at the Racetrack" by Barry Meadow. It makes an excellent companion or primer for Crist's Exotic Betting. I would actually read them in that order: Meadow, then Crist.

They are two books that I re-read often. They focus more on the betting side of the skill set rather than the handicapping, but both pieces are essential as I'm sure you know.

Glad to hear you are getting your son into the game. It's a great pastime. College was not all that long ago for me -- I'm not yet 40 -- and I find that once my friends are introduced to the game, they invariably see how superior it is to the other forms of gambling we have available to us on the East Coast.

Joe
