Note the Travers is a age-restricted race, too. Are 3yos beating top class older horses like Commentator right and left?

No but they did beat up on Curlin in the BC.

So are you saying that the Travers was a fluke? Or was it real and perhaps the off track in the JCGC or the synthetic of the Ben Ali weren't to his liking? Either way, the point is that if the nose had gone his way in the Travers, I don't think anyone would be suggesting that the Clark was an unrealistic spot for him but since it didn't go his way, it seems that you are suggesting that this is not the kind of race he could win. I suppose that the question I should ask you is if you would think he'd be overmatched here even if he had won the Travers?

Yeah, foreign three year olds beat Curlin on what is basically turf...nice comparison.

The question was simply do I see 3yo's beating top class older horses? There were no conditions put on the question so I answered what was asked of me. I could have gone further and mentioned Conduit and Goldikova also but I didn't.

You should be careful about what you say publicly. There are alot of other jews on this board besides myself and DrugS.

KG, I normally enjoy your contrarian nature, but those last two posts of yours are truly LAME. PG1985, Roller Doc and Burch rolled up into one sort of lame.

Never mind that Curlin finished ahead of Colonel John in the BC, the very same horse that nostrilized Mambo In Seattle at Saratoga.

The Travers has proven to be a pretty unproductive race, with its two next out winners (Court Vision and Tale Of Ekati) arguably poorly spotted in the Travers in the first place, with the former seeming to prefer turf and the latter favoring one-turn. Note losses by Pyro, Harlem Rocker, Macho Again, Cool Coal Man, D'Tara, and Tres Barrachos (not forgetting Mambo In Seattle's embarrassing efforts) also out of that race.

Whether or not he is a Travers winner (do you hold Belmont winner D'Tara in high regard as well?) he is completely overmatched against the likes of Commentator.

Are you suggesting that Lions are still NFL team? Titans should cover OVER by the end of the first half!

And, yes, Mambo in Seattle has created interest in ungraded $60,000 handicap this weekend. Imagine that!

I don't disagree that he's overmatched by Commentator. I don't think he's overmatched by the rest of the field though.
