no such observation here, he just has been on the list of overrated speedballs for a while now. He is a fan favorite so you have to look to races where he is vulnerable. If everything goes his own way sure he can look great... He actually was grade I or II, a year or two ago. |

Strike reverted back to the 5 1/2-furlong-horse-fetal-position he is prone to , the race was a muddy mess, scrubs like black seventeen kodiak kowboy and first defence... the race looked like about a grade 3 event. nice early speed, but not a real grade I 6furlong race. There were times in 07 and maybe 06 when Strike looked like he had a shot to put it all together. I think he punks out on turkey day. |
