Through 6 and the Cubbies have more errors than hits.

That's never a good sign.

They are just trying to embarass us now, you trout out Neil Cotts, and have Howry warming up...You get rid of Scott Eyre and he goes 6-0 in September.

I'm no Cub boy, but I can't believe how they folded. Really thought they were a "real" team this year..

What's next?

Can't believe Furcal is playing this well. He has only been playing since about last Wednesday. We didn't think we were ever gunna get him back. Thought that was it for him (back surgery.) He was playing great before that, and somehow it's as if he was never gone. That's the biggest surprise. I knew if we pitched good, we could do some damage, but sure didn't think Furcal would hit this soon. Fck yeah, with Furcal playing like this, we are gunna be tough. We haven't had these 2 together until now(Furcal and Manny.) You would think they would mention that. Nobody has seen this team. Dodger fans haven't seen this team with both weapons (until this series.) Furcal is a super team player(all heart.)

I have to admit that as a Yankee fan I have always wished that the yanks had signed Manny when they had the chance. He is one of those guys can carry an offense on his back.

Happy for Torre and donnie baseball.

as a yankee fan myself, we had to watch all year the blowhard, bragging cubs fans all over the usa. once again they proved the losers that they are. and now my fat boss can kiss my ass when he said manny? manny who? just another chicago blowhard mouthing off, and you can take that loser jim belushi back to where he came from as well.

You Yankee fans aren't blowhard, bragging fans though.

I am about the only Dodgers fan that I know living in the Chicago area so I have to admit, these past two days have been a lot of fun. That being said, this series is far from over. I told one of my Cub-fan friends before the series started that if the Dodgers win this series, I wouldn't be shocked to see them win the three games at Wrigley and go 0-2 in L.A. On the surface that doesn't make much sense, because the Dodgers were a much better team at home this year than they were on the road, but this thing is about pitching matchups.

I have zero confidence in Kuroda, and then I think Ted Lilly will get the job done for the Cubs in Game 4. It has looked like a total mismatch so far, but I think the odds of Kuroda beating Harden are slim, and one victory by the Cubs can turn the whole thing around.

.....And how many years have we heard from those blowhard Yank fans doing the same thing. The moaning of the 80's.

Now going back to this reply. I believe in the same thing that Cub pitching is too good to let down. But which Ted Lilly are we going to see? The regular season pitcher that has done quite well, or the jittery guy (a la Dempster) that we saw against in Arizona in the playoffs last year.

Uhhh the dodgers would be up 2-0 with or without Manny. I cant believe how he gets all the credit even when the Cubs blew this game with errors or the 1st game when Loney made the key hit. He obviously played great and helped turn the team around but he isnt the only reason they are winning. The pitching has been great but all anyone talks about is Manny. Dont forget that he is playing for a contract...

how do you explain the best team in the national league playing their two worst games of the year, BACK TO BACK, then?

That is called a curse....

I am beginning to think that maybe it isn't the Cubs but it is me

We aren't talking fielding, running the bases, fathering children, or doing the penquin but doesn't Manny trump him in every offensive category and the ever popular ability to hit a baseball off the wrong foot with pathetic swings that in no way resemble a major league hitter but Chuck the SOB can flat out hit.

If you had one at bat with runners in scoring position you can't tell me you would rather have Garvey up there than the head case. I hate the guy because of what he did to screw up the Red Sox this year and how much he disrespected his teammates but there is no way that the Penquin is a better hitter than Manny on any level.....

Torre is loving life right now as he realizes how lucky his is this year. He won't get it but Manny really is the MVP of the National League based on his impact of just 2 months.

As far as the Cubs.....

This game is so much about streaks and WHEN you get hot......timing is everything in baseball ......the Cubs are not the first team to dominate a regualr season only to be chilly for a couple games in the playoffs and be on the verge in a 3 out of 5 series. LA is hot now after sucking for the first 100 games. There is no shame here for the Cubs....they are getting beat by a better team playing better NOW. No team wants to play LA right now.

They were struggling in September before this started. It has nothing to do with curses. Obviously Dempster was all about nerves. Even though DeRosa is a utility player that plays in the infield mostly, his defense isn't all that great. I thought Zambrano actually pitched well besides having a horrible September.

Another Problem. Cubs showed great OBP and low K's this year hitting. The first 2 games they've shown no patience at the plate whatsoever. They are swinging at the pitchers pitches. Soriano wants to bat in front of the plate to try to get the ball before it breaks. If you watched the 9th inning closely last night, that was good 2008 Cubs hitting baseball this year. They all sat and waited for their pitch for the 9th. Thats what they need to do

It only gets better Bigs....So three days ago, I was rolling to get some food and I had my left turn signal on, I am turning left and the f'n truck just stops, lose all oil pressure and power steering, other electricals still work. Truck has like 35k in miles and has been running great. I put the car in park, start it up, works fine. So I get back to my place, and I try it again, put the left turn signal on, and the f'n truck does the same ****, loss of oil pressure and power steering, car is a year old.

I take it to the dealership, tell them to fix the damn thing, figured it was under warranty.

I get a call, 8:30am on Wednesday, "Hey Tom, fyi, there was a squirrel within your headlight region that came flying out, it nussled within the car and ate $700 worth of electrical wire, it isn't under warranty, do you want us to replace it?"

I can't make this **** up.......it just doesn't stop
