Can anyone tell me about this Renaissance Vinoy Resort in St. Petersburg?

very high end....thats where the opponents stay. very, very nice. 5 minutes from tropicana field.

and yes....we have field turf. also very, very nice.

Anything else about the hotel/resort. Any happenings besides golfing or possible eerie rumors?

There is quite a bit to do in the St.Pete/Tampa area.
Busch Gardens, Lowry Park Zoo, Florida Aquarium, Rays, Bucs and Lightning. Dec-May Tampa Bay Downs.
If you want "touristy" there's always The Pier and John's Pass fishing village.
