What time is the race, TVG usually ends British around 11 to 12 CDT.
Are either of you going to see him?

LINK PLEASE.....:)

heres the entries for it:

http://www.irish-racing.com/v4card093200807242000.htm

there are some ok types in it, reliable Lord Admiral, Moiqen, Mustameet etc..

It is my local track so I might pop down after work if he's racing.

I can't really afford to take a flight to Ireland to see one horse (although it wouldn't be the biggest surprise if I did). Brock might go

The race is 8.00pm GMT, so 3.00pm Eastern time.

the black numbers are the Irish handicappers Official ratings for each horse in the race. of the 3 that dont have one, 2 are trained in Britain so the Irish handicapper wouldnt have any rating for them. The other one, Zulu Chief has only run twice and in most cases, you need to run 3 times for the handicapper to give you a rating..

He should have a rating though, because he's won a race. Or at least that's how the handicapping system works here. Three runs or as soon as they have won a race. Hence why first time out winners are eligable to run in handicaps.

brockguy 07-21-2008 04:45 PM

im not too sure if that happens in ireland though. I believe you can request a rating from the handicapper before 3 runs, maybe APOB should do that with Zulu. he'd be a certainty off say 100 wouldnt he?

NoChanceToDance 07-23-2008 09:41 AM

He doesn't run tomorrow. I'm guessing it's because the ground is very firm at the moment. He has many entries for forthcoming races, but none of them are before August.

NoChanceToDance 08-09-2008 01:32 PM

Due to run tomorrow at the Curragh in the Gr2 Royal Whip stakes over 10furlongs.

Due to go off at 4.15GMT, so that would be 11.15EST

my miss storm cat 08-09-2008 01:58 PM

I can't access Guardian for some reason. :(

Benbaun runs tomorrow as well..... :) :tro: :{>:

(Just had to mention that somewhere and since you're talking about the Curragh)...

NoChanceToDance 08-09-2008 02:04 PM

None of them certain to get a race tomorrow now. The Curragh are inspecting and if they have had the rain we are getting this second....... the card looks unlikely to go ahead :(

NoChanceToDance 08-10-2008 03:29 AM

Abandoned :(

NoChanceToDance 08-17-2008 03:45 PM

The result doesn't really tell the story. The race was run in an abolute bog, and right from the start you could see that Zulu Chief hated it. To be fair, he travelled well and was the last to come under any serious pressure. He wasn't given a hard race and he is definitley the horse to take out of this race.

On fast ground he still has the potential to be very good.

brockguy 09-14-2008 06:22 AM

runs today at the Curragh in a G3 race over a mile.. It is soft to heavy ground but he is the stong odds on favourite..

brockguy 09-14-2008 08:50 AM

its just bottomless ground at the Curragh, finished 4th, a mile behind Jumba.. good ground might will prob see him in a much better light..

NoChanceToDance 09-20-2008 10:51 PM

Why do they keep running him on this type of ground? If they really thought as much as they say they do of him, surely they wouldn't keep risking him on such bad ground?

brockguy 11-04-2008 01:37 PM

sold to Mike de Kock I believe...

He is the perfect horse for Dubai!
