Its sad when you can mention that name and have it be fact. AP Arrow is a top older horse.

In fairness to Rolo, I know he meant handicap dirt route horses but didnt specify. And to that point, i have no answer.

See the career of Half Ours or Forest Danger for further details.

Yes, that has been the Pletcher way for decades now,...

Aside from the ill-fated, and very inconsistent Left Bank and Lawyer Ron, who we all know was not in his care at 2 or 3 years, what top older horses has Pletcher campaigned?

True, I agree about Pletcher's older horses. Thats why in previous threads I had mentioned that this horse will probably benefit from a trainer switch like Mandella, Frankel. He is owned by Stronach so he may switch to Frankel or Brian Lynch

Yeah, you got me with Balto Star, who did endure a Triple Crown campaign. The others were fillies, turf horses (he did very well with English Channel, I'll admit--despite Dubai even), and I think Speightstown was trained early in his career by Phil Husbands and might have already been 4yo when Pletcher got him.

That's fair enough and very plausible as far Stronach and trainer switches go.
