He looks like he's over his head in here, but I'll be rooting for McCann's Mojave. I'm a big fan of owner Mike Willman and always root for this one to do well. Tiago, Student Council and Go Between look like the logical contenders. Great card. I'll be watching with interest.

100 across ?

I'll be rooting especially hard for Perfect Drift to win this race. It would provide the perfect indictment for this year's group of older horses.

Looking forward to seeing if Magnificience can run better than she did in her last and return to what looked like it had the makings of brilliance.

Want to see Glitter City in the 2yo race. I think we've got something there.

Speaking of Headley, Black Wolf returns in a first condition allowance which could be a springboard for this one to enter stakes company in the sprint division in CA later this summer.

It depends on your own personal bankroll....

King Glorious 06-28-2008 07:38 AM

Gonna play a box of McCann's Mojave, Big Booster, Perfect Drift, and Mast Track.

Dearest Trickski and Mast Track, here's hoping speed holds

I was wrong about PD. He ran terrible.

I can't believe Mast Track won. I saw that horse break his maiden first time out at the Fair Grounds and I really liked him. I figured Frankel might sell him for a reasonable price. I figured that if he would have really liked the horse that he wouldn't have had him at Fair Grounds. So I figured that maybe he would take $300,000 for the horse. We called him but he wouldn't sell him for $300,000. He said he wanted at least $500,000 so we passed.

I did not expect him to win today even though he looked like the only speed.

It's funny cuz Frankel wanted to run the horse in the Malibu late last year (he had only run a couple times on turf the spring/summer before) off a layoff. When he didn't particularly light the world on fire in allowance company nobody seemed disappointed that they didn't buy him.

If he had been sold, what were the odds he would have run in the Hollywood Gold Cup? Its kind of like the Charismatic situation, if someone had claimed him, would he have ever even been considered for the Kentucky Derby?

We'll see if he turns out to be another Marquetry (who validated his upset Gold Cup win) or just another Missionary Ridge (who took a weak version of the Pacific Classic in its early inception)...

Mike 06-28-2008 07:09 PM

Oops, I see he hit the Pick 4, no tears for him if he didn't place a win bet

10 pnt move up 06-28-2008 07:14 PM

This horse is as close to Marquetry, who upset very very good horses, as I am to Tiger Woods. Who knows, if he gets 113 and change again he can win the Pacific.

Slow paced races should not be given the benifit of doubt.

Frost Giant and Mast Track.

It's very funny stuff when you think about it.

What I don't understand is why the rider of Mcann's Mohave put a full nelson on him early.

What's funny is that as funny as it is is also how sad it is.

I WAS WAY OFF ABOUT PERFECT DRIFT AND TIAGO, AND TRUST ME I PAYED FOR IT IN THE WALLET
