PETA and the Humane Society of the United States will be arm wrestling over who will be running horse racing next year, as they - and Reps. Whitfield and Schakowsky - care more about the horses than any trainers or owners.

I wonder what PETA will do about horses thoughtlessly wearing those fur coats in public?

Everybody cheats Dahoss... Everybody except the trainers who have no budget and limited brains.. If they didn't all cheat none of them would ever win.. Sad but true... The issues are who has the new stuff that is undetectable and costs thousands because it is so exclusive. The stuff Jerkins is using or stuff that Pletcher is looking for, its a sad state when the best trainers are the folks with the best connections, not with the best skills.

I just hope things work out. He has been a real boost to the Oaklawn meet. I know many of you don't even recognize that but Larry has made a real difference for us fans. Eight Belles, may she RIP, was something to watch. He has broght a lot to the table and I hope things work out for him.:(

I agree, trainers who cheat do a lot for the fans......they steal money from them.

Cheaters make sure its impossible to develop a industry.. You can't bet, you can't own, and you can't be a fan other then that I have nothing against juicers.

That's not where I was going.

The horse was no better than 5th in each of his first three career starts before coming to Delaware.

PETA is very clever. It's hard to get a price on a Jones runner at Delaware when he's winning at a 45% clip and in the exacta at a 75% clip - very well executed coup and great job picking the right horse for it.

I had my doubts about that group - but they obviously know how to make em win! They would have got away with it scott free if that pesky owner hadn't been so sharp to unravel it.

I'm confused.....you think that if someone is cheating they are helping the fans?

Jones has not been found guilty of cheating.

Does accusal (a positive) automatically equal guilt, or should due process (confirmation of positive, a hearing, a decision) be allowed to proceed?

There is no such thing as due process when these guys don't face the possibility of prison.
